Learning Objectives:
Jinkan Khatadia was born in Mumbai, India, and received his Master’s in Economics at Texas A&M University. He came across the field of transfer pricing taught by one of the most prominent figures in transfer pricing academia, Dr. Lorraine Eden. Auditing one class of transfer pricing is all it took for Jinkan to “seal the deal” in pursuing a career in transfer pricing. After graduating from Texas A&M, Jinkan got an opportunity to work in transfer pricing with a media company where he managed transfer pricing planning and compliance aspects for approximately a year.
Jinkan realized that he did not want to be tied down to a particular industry, so he joined as an associate consultant at a boutique tax consulting company, True Partners Consulting in New York where he worked for five years. The career path then took Jinkan to a large public accounting firm, Grant Thornton, where he worked as a consultant for six years. During these years, along with developing his technical aptitude and following the footsteps of the CAP, he provided training to people from various backgrounds and excelled at managing projects. The invaluable experience of training and management gained during this period got him thinking about the benefits that small and medium businesses would reap through training and management solutions, two of the most challenging areas in any industry. Hence, the beginning of CAPAM Consulting.
